Calculator inputs

BucketSavers calculators are designed to run in the browser. The Roth conversion calculator does not need an account and does not send entered financial numbers to a BucketSavers server.

.buk files

When you save a plan, BucketSavers creates a local .buk file. The first version is plain JSON so you can inspect it. Treat it like any sensitive financial document.

A future version may offer optional password-based encryption, but the default product idea is still the same: users control their own files.

Analytics and affiliate links

If BucketSavers later uses analytics or affiliate links, calculator pages should avoid scripts that can read user inputs. Sponsored or affiliate links should be labeled clearly and should not change calculator results.
